question for Christians…………….?
The closest present day religion, which has a Trinity, as its core belief is Hinduism. In the Hindu philosophy Lord Brahma is the Supreme God of Creation, Lord Vishnu is the Sustainer God and Lord Shiva is a God of Destruction. Hindus, who worship multiple deities, justify their dogma as monotheistic belief on the ground that each deity stresses one or more aspects of The One Supreme God, called Brahma. There are hundreds of gods and goddesses in various Hindu temples throughout India. But each has its own specific power and place in worship, depending upon a particular aspect or aspects of the Supreme God that he or she stresses or represents. This is very similar to the Trinity in Christianity; however, most Christians who view the Hindu religion will condemn it as Polytheistic.
The question for Christians is why then do they not view their own religion as Polytheistic if they think the Hindu Religion is polytheistic?

our “three Gods” are merely three different manifestations of one God. they are have the same qualities, but manifest in different ways.
God the Father- abides everywhere
God the Son (Jesus)- human flesh, lived 2000 yrs ago
God the Holy Spirit- abides in us, as believers; acts as conscience and guide.

Good question and it is sure to draw the ire of some of my brothers and sisters. The answer is this – at least in my view. The Beings of the Trinity are not three seperate entities but rather manifestations of the one entity referred to as God. As Creator of all things God is the Father. As the actualizer and teacher of His follwers, God is the Holy Spirit. As the redeemer of His people God is the Son. Three functions or roles, one God.

Poly means more than one. We do not worship more than one God. The Hindus believe that there are different God’s it looks like they believe (from what you are saying) that there are many Gods that do different things basically one God working under another God.
Christians believe in and worship one God. He is known as our Eternal Father or Our Heavenly Father. He created the Heavens and The Earth. He sent His son Jesus Christ to the earth to die for the sins of men so that it would be possible to return to live with Him again one day.
We follow one of the ten commandments that states, Thou Shalt have no other gods before me. THat clearly states, I am the only God, there should be no others before me.
Keep in mind, a true Christian DOES NOT Condemn other religions. We just do not choose to follow what it is that they believe.
Interesting question. I hope that this helped you.

And out of all these gods, which one of them sent their son as the supreme sacrifice for our sins?!…whom not also died for the sins, but were resurrected too?!
There is only One God and One Savior. God Jehovah is the creator of all things. Jesus is the only begotten Son, who came, suffered and died for our sins, and for our healing…and then He rose from the dead.
Jesus warns of false gods and others that might come in his name. Let’s see any of these stone gods heal cancer. Jehovah Rophe(God) does. Let’s see any of them pay the price for us the way that Jesus did, just so we could be free from the sin of this world and spend eternity with him….Jesus did….

TRUE Christians don’t believe in the trinity. Jesus was the first creation.(Col. 1:15, Rev.3:14)

You make an interesting point. I have made an exclusive study of the trinity in the Christian scriptures and found it to have a solid premise, albeit that particular word isn’t in the bible, and neither is the concept directly addressed. I wouldn’t attempt to go into it here – it’s too much – and that wasn’t your question. I know little about the Hindu religion, so I’m not really qualified to comment. What I find interesting about your point – the trinity notwithstanding – is that Mary, the mother of Jesus is worshiped in some Christian religions, as some pray to various saints as well. It does indeed sound like at least some Christians have more than one god. I think that’s rather odd. But…I haven’t answered your question. It’s a bit tricky. If you were a Christian we could discuss it.

But the many Gods of Hinduism are viewed as many forms of the same divine..Brahman, or God. So really it’s just like the trinity that are seen as three forms of the same God, only we see many forms of the same God rather than limiting it to three. So there I agree with the asker.

It is simple.. they dont understand their own language saying 1 is 3!! how can 1 is 3??
and they trying their best to make people understand 1 is 3.. when actually they are part of so called polythiestic. u should add here that they also engrave statue to represent their God!!
1= father, 2= son, 3= holy spirit
all three are in different attribute!! can 3 different attribute is 1? they are different!! they are made of 3 different attribute!! thus there is 3!!
