Which Hindu God or Goddess do you feel closest to and explain why?
I just enjoy hearing other people’s experiences.

My God is the God of all creations and there is no other God but Him.

Unfortunately, I know very little of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, although my personal favorite Norse God is either Loki or Thor, because both have such interesting and entertaining stories, as well as having such deep personalities.

I love this one story of Ganesh because it’s so sweet how he viewed his parents…
Ganesh and His brother Lord Subramanya once had a dispute as to who was the wisest and should be worshiped first out of the two. The matter was referred to Lord Shiva for final decision.
Shiva decided that whoever would make a tour of the whole world and come back first to the starting point had the right to be the elder. Subramanya flew off at once on his vehicle, the peacock, to make a circuit of the world.
But the wise Ganesh went, in loving worship, around His divine parents and asked that he be declared as having won the race.
Lord Shiva said, “Beloved and wise Ganesh! But how can I give you the prize; you did not go around the world?”
Ganesh replied, “No, but I have gone around my parents. My parents represent the entire manifested universe!” Thus the dispute was settled in favor of Lord Ganesh. Mother Parvati also gave Him a fruit as a prize for this victory.

Ganesh.
I am very close to Ganesh. I feel very drawn towards him. His image always makes me smile and just thinking about Ganesh can make me happy and peaceful. The symbolism of Ganesh helps as a reminder of so much. Ganesh just comes across as being very friendly and warm hearted and loving and yet when you look at him you also know that he’ll protect you if you need him to.

Krishna and Ganesh. Krishna more since he himself tells that his devotees can view him in any way they like. Some may see him as a son, some as a friend, some as a father. I view him as a teacher after reading the Gita.

I am a spiritual atheist (was agnostic).
I emulate Kali Ma cuz she has a quality that I strive to have: take no shinola from anyone.
I don’t believe in Kali as a deity, but from what I learned about her, I like her strength and she holds herself up high with good esteem.

Krishna is my favorite and has been since I was little. I can’t really pinpoint why, but something about him has always attracted me and whenever I go to a temple I generally find myself praying mostly to him. Krishna is easier to identify with and understand because of his many humanlike qualities. You can love Krishna the way you love people you know, rather than the way you love a vague idea of God, because he lived here and the stories about him are so eternal. And at the same time, he is separated from humans by the fact that ultimately, he is God, who reveals himself to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna is so dazzled and so filled with emotion by the revelation of the Lord as everything that he must have a divine forgetfulness of memory because having constant companionship with the Lord is too much for any human. This mixture of qualities means that there are so many ways to love Krishna: as a child, friend, lover, protector, teacher, guide. I love his name, and the way it means dark as well as beautiful. Many times in India as well as outside fairness is supposed to be the beautiful quality and I love how Krishna shows that darkness is just as beautiful.

First Clarification, as said always there are not so many Gods and Goddesses in hinduism. They are Lost. Deveta and Devi as said in hinduism are not gods.
The are part of the system who control different part of universe. There is only one god and appears in different form as and when required.
