Just wondering since two nations fought over her for her beauty and she is always depicted as blonde in movies and artwork………… but Greek women are beautiful and Brunette far as I know….. also APHRODITE Goddess of LOVE, is often depicted blonde as well………… were there blondes in ancient greece?

In ancient Greece, women had an inferior status in society, yet Athena (a goddess) represented war & wisdom.?
How do you justify this contradiction?
